Increase in demand for spare parts for agricultural machinery in Russia
Local agricultural producers are primarily inclined to invest in the renovation and maintenance of previously purchased equipment, rather than to purchase new or used equipment, this is evidenced by the result of a study that was carried out jointly by www.aa-p.ru) and Avito.Ru. There is a clear desire to increase the service life of agricultural machinery: farmers have begun to handle it more carefully, therefore, the need for spare parts and timely repairs is increasing. According to the Avito portal, in 2025, the demand for spare parts increased eightfold compared to the previous year, and the supply increased almost eleven times. The top three cities with the maximum increase in demand for agricultural spare parts included settlements from regions with the most developed agricultural sector.
Based on the information received from the Pole website, there is a 6-fold increase in the interest of agricultural producers in spare parts for agricultural machinery this year. Farmers now prefer a convenient and, accordingly, safe way to purchase parts on websites. In this way, it becomes clear who is the manufacturer of spare parts, and full support is guaranteed, from the selection of components to the delivery of the purchase. At the same time, leasing of new agricultural machinery is in trend, the demand for which is growing seven times every year, especially taking into account state support.
According to information received from the Avito.ru platform, at the beginning of 2025, over 120000 ads for the sale of parts for agricultural machinery in the Russian Federation were presented on the site. From this selection, more than 110000 applications concerned the sale of brand new spare parts. Since the beginning of last year, the most popular commodity items in the Russian Federation have been bodies, attachments, booths, platforms, as well as parts of hydraulic systems. The head of the Spare Parts profile on the Avito platform emphasizes that against the backdrop of the import substitution policy, the agricultural sector is showing active growth and feels a constant need for good machinery, specialists, equipment and components.
Earlier analyses by the Rosspetsmash Association noted a decrease in the production of combines in the Russian Federation in 2024. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, during 2024, domestic agricultural enterprises reduced the level of purchases of the main types of agricultural machinery. It is assumed that this trend will remain relevant in the future.
