Third-year quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is entering a pivotal season with the Dolphins one that may now have even greater pre sure with news that team owner Stephen Ro s The NFL found that Ro s illegally contacted Brady twice in an attempt to bring him on as the team's quarterback, : once in 2019, when Tagovailoa was still a junior at Alabama, and no later than early December 2021, when he was leading the team through a seven-game win streak.The NFL's punishment of the Dolphins includes a suspension and fine of Ro s, plus the lo s of the Dolphins' 2023 first- and 2024 third-round picks. Though those punishments have little bearing on Miami's 2022 season, it does lend credence to rumors that Ro s and former coach Brian Flores weren't convinced Tagovailoa was the quarterback of the future.Tagovailoa on Wednesday addre sed news of Ro s' contact with Brady, declining to speak on anything before he arrived in the NFL in 2019 while Thon Maker Jersey saying he felt the team was "all in" behind him.
