Before this trade went through, Lawrence was signed for $42 million over the next two seasons, with cap hits of $20 million in 2026 and $22 million in 2027. By adding this new $28 million mark to his current deal, Lawrence will now be signed through the next three seasons with a roughly $70 million deal. While the extension is a lot of money, it's not so unbearable for the Bengals compared to what some other interior defensive linemen have gotten. The trade between the Giants and Bengals is now official, as Cincinnati swings an uncharacteristic trade for a superstar defender using a top draft choice.
