As for the Commanders, they have a potential solution in one of their own free agents in linebacker Bobby Wagner, but he remains available on the open market and it isn't clear if the two sides will remain together in 2026. At this point, Wagner is probably the best player available at the position, and that has led to predicting a competition between the Cowboys and Commanders to acquire Wagner's services. However, Iyer predicts Wagner, who is projected for a , will ultimately land in Dallas. And speaking of Overshown, there are few players in the NFL who can provide a better mentor than Wagner, whose presence in the locker room will also boost Dallas' defense as a whole.
