At its core, the strategy builds on a familiar concept: layer in mechanics that flood maps with loot chests, then use Atlas tree nodes and gear to scale that loot into tangible profit.

The test was conducted over 36 maps, split evenly between two groups:

 18 maps rolled with extremely high currency modifiers (up to 350% increased currency drops).

 18 maps juiced with scarab-related quantity (some exceeding 250% increased scarab drops).

Why Lighthouse?

Lighthouse Map was chosen for a very deliberate reason. Its central building and staircases confuse Abyss pathing AI, forcing the cracks to loop back and forth unnaturally. This extends the Abyss event and leads to more Abyssal Hordes being dropped-each one a chest-loot jackpot.

It's also a natural Tier 16, so rolling or horizon-orbing into it is efficient.

Setup and Scarabs

 Abyssal nodes (to guarantee multiple abysses, improved rewards, and more Hordes).

 Scarab chance and duplication.

 Blocking lesser mechanics to increase the odds of Abyss and related events.

The scarabs used in each map included:

 3x Cartography Scarabs of Risk: Add additional map mods.

 1x Abyss Scarab.

 1x Abyss Scarab of Edifice: Causes hordes to spawn during Abyss cracks.

These were all combined with Chiselled + Alch + Vaal map rolling, but for half the maps, the player added currency quality chisels (like Avarice Chisels), sometimes achieving upwards of 600% increased currency drops.

To reduce costs of these high-end map rolls, maps were split using:

 Phenum Plagued Arachnids + Black Morgans = turning one expensive 6-mod map into three.

This worked well for currency maps but wasn't used on scarab-based maps due to diminishing returns.

Opening Abyss Hordes Efficiently

One challenge of this strategy is how slow it is to click hundreds of loot chests manually. To solve that, the Coast Mastery node was used:

Even for non-caster builds, this can be automated using Trigger + Automation + Blood Rage or Detonate Mines, then bound to a NumLock macro, allowing passive triggering every few seconds. This cuts the effort of clicking and speeds up the runs significantly.

After running 36 total maps (18 each side), the results were as follows:

 Ambush Scarab of Containment.

 Horn Scarab of Awakening.

 An Enlighten Support (worth ~3.5 Divs).

 More quantity-based loot overall, less raw currency.

 Maps (purchased and split): ~61 Divines.

Yes-at least according to this sample. The currency-rolled maps outperformed scarab-rolled ones nearly 2:1 in terms of raw divine drops. While RNG will always play a role, this data suggests that high map quality modifiers have a measurable impact on Abyss Horde rewards.

Is Splitting Maps Worth It?

Only in specific situations. The cost of high-tier chisels like Avarice was once extreme (~150c each), making splitting valuable. But in this test, the player found the splitting tedious and not particularly impactful. The recommendation: skip the fancy splitting tricks and use standard chisels unless prices spike again.

Is Lighthouse the Best Map?

For this strategy-absolutely. Its geometry maximizes abyss pathing confusion, increasing the number of Horde drops. That alone likely added a significant bonus to the total profit.
