Laminated Body Fabrication

The body of a laminated padlock is made by stacking multiple metal plates, usually steel, to create a solid structure. Each plate is stamped or laser-cut to precise dimensions, then assembled in layers. This laminated design enhances resistance to cutting and prying, making the padlock suitable for heavy-duty applications. Shackle Production

The shackle is the U-shaped loop that engages with the lock point. It is typically made from hardened steel or alloy to resist cutting, sawing, and corrosion. The shackle undergoes heat treatment and surface finishing to achieve the desired strength and durability. Its ends are shaped to fit precisely into the locking mechanism inside the laminated body.

Locking Mechanism Assembly

The core locking system includes the cylinder, pins, and springs that control shackle movement. For keyed padlocks, the cylinder is precisely configured to match the supplied keys. Some models may include combination locks instead. During assembly, the locking components are inserted into the laminated body and aligned to ensure smooth and reliable operation.

Finishing and Quality Testing

Once assembled, the padlock undergoes finishing processes such as plating, painting, or coating to improve corrosion resistance and appearance. Each unit is tested for functional performance, including key operation, shackle movement, and resistance to physical stress. This ensures the final product meets durability and security standards.
