How U4N Fits Into D4 Endgame Farming After Patch 3.1.3

Diablo 4 Patch 3.1.3 is aimed at making endgame activities more reliable rather than dramatically changing character power. For players farming D4 items, the most noticeable improvements come from fixes to boss encounters and battlefield cleanup. The update is relatively small, but it addresses problems that can become irritating when the same activities are repeated dozens of times.

The patch also arrives after several important changes made during the broader 3.1.x update cycle. As a result, players returning to collect D4 items may find that Mythic equipment works differently from what they remember. Multiple crafted Mythics can now be equipped, Unique-to-Mythic crafting is less expensive, and Mythic Enchanting offers more control over final equipment.

Echo of Mephisto Becomes Easier for Groups

The Echo of Mephisto adjustment is particularly relevant to organized groups. When a player enters an active encounter after it has already started, Patch 3.1.3 now allows that player to use a portal to reach the third stage immediately.

This eliminates one of the awkward situations that could occur during group boss farming. If one member loads late or needs to reconnect, the rest of the party no longer has to wait as long for that player to catch up.

The change does not make the boss itself weaker. Instead, it removes unnecessary downtime from the encounter. For players who measure their progress by how many boss runs they can complete during a session, that is a worthwhile improvement.

Corrupted Reaper Gets a Cleaner Arena

The Corrupted Reaper receives a different type of fix. Resummoning the seasonal lair boss previously could leave the corpse from the previous encounter in the area.

That could create visual clutter and targeting problems, particularly when players immediately started another fight. In a game where combat effects and enemies can already cover much of the screen, even a seemingly harmless leftover object can make combat less comfortable.

Patch 3.1.3 now clears the previous Reaper corpse when the boss is resummoned. It is a simple change, but it should make repeated encounters feel more consistent.

Why the Mythic Changes Matter More

While the new patch fixes are useful, the larger endgame story is still shaped by earlier 3.1.x changes. One of the biggest adjustments was removing the previous limit on crafted Mythic equipment.

Players are no longer restricted to equipping only one crafted Mythic item. This opens additional options for build construction and gives high-level players more flexibility when deciding which equipment combinations to pursue.

For returning players, this is worth checking before investing heavily in a familiar setup. The best approach from an earlier version of the game may no longer be the most efficient one.

Cheaper Unique-to-Mythic Upgrades

The Horadric Cube also offers a more forgiving crafting experience. A direct Unique-to-Mythic upgrade now preserves the original Unique, while the material requirement has been reduced from five Pandemonium Fragments to four.

This is helpful for players who are experimenting with gear instead of following one fixed build. Keeping the original item means there is less pressure when making an upgrade decision.

The lower cost also gives dedicated farmers more opportunities to work toward their preferred Mythic equipment without spending as many materials on each attempt.

Mythic Enchanting Adds More Flexibility

Another recent improvement is Mythic Enchanting. Players can alter affixes through Enchanting, and the resulting Mythic affixes roll with maximum stats when applied to Mythic items.

This makes the final stage of gearing less dependent on simply getting lucky with an initial drop. Players can now work toward equipment that better matches their chosen skills and playstyle.

For endgame characters, that distinction matters. A powerful item with poorly suited affixes may not perform as well as an item that fits the rest of the build.

A Better Farming Routine

Patch 3.1.3 does not require players to abandon their current farming routes. Instead, it removes some friction from activities that many endgame players already run.

Group players should benefit most from the Echo of Mephisto portal adjustment, while Corrupted Reaper farmers should appreciate the cleaner arenas. These improvements may be small individually, but their value becomes more obvious over long sessions.

The broader Mythic changes also give players more control over where their resources go. Efficient players can combine regular boss farming with careful crafting decisions rather than relying entirely on random upgrades.

What This Means for Returning Players

If you have been away from the game, it is worth spending some time reviewing the current Mythic systems before committing your materials. The ability to equip multiple crafted Mythics and improve their affixes changes how endgame builds can be completed.

Players who need additional resources for their progression may also look at options such as buy Diablo IV Gold while planning their wider gearing strategy. Gold remains useful for several parts of the endgame economy, but efficient spending is still important.

Overall, Patch 3.1.3 is best understood as a quality-of-life update. It does not introduce a new endgame meta or dramatically alter class power, but it makes several repeated activities less frustrating. For players who spend most of their time farming bosses and refining Mythic builds, those small improvements can add up over hundreds of runs.
