Optimise large images and use modern formats where appropriate. Consider lazy loading images and videos that do not need to appear immediately when the page opens.

Review your plugins, scripts, and third-party integrations. Remove tools you no longer need and investigate whether essential scripts can load more efficiently.

Caching and a content delivery network can help serve resources more efficiently, particularly when your visitors are spread across different locations.

Work with your developer to reduce unnecessary JavaScript and CSS. Improving server performance or upgrading hosting may also be worthwhile if technical tests reveal consistently slow response times.

Test your website after major design or functionality changes. A page that performs well today can become slower after new tracking software, images, plugins, or features are introduced.

Most importantly, prioritise real visitors. A perfect score is unnecessary if achieving it means removing functionality that customers genuinely need.
