The are looking to Todd Monken to be the one to get the franchise back to where it thinks it belongs in 2026. Now, the task at hand isn't an easy one, as the Browns have won just eight games over the past two seasons, which led to Kevin Stefanski's firing. But the Browns have no real idea if Shedeur Sanders is an NFL quarterback. The offensive line was completely overhauled in free agency. The pa s-catching talent is among the worst in the league. Fans expecting this team to be markedly better than it was a year ago are setting themselves up for disappointment. More: Monken has big task at hand Now, if Monken did get the Browns to 6-11 in 2026, that would be the best return since 2023, when the team made the playoffs. That is a tall order. But Monken could be the offensive mind to get the most out of the offense, which has been horrible for the past couple of seasons. The defense "should" be in good order.
