Jermain Defoe looks set to re-join Tottenham Hotspur in a 15million deal, resulting in a 50% (7.5mil) profit for Portsmouth. The striker left Tottenham in 2008, to join a then led Harry Redknapp Portsmouth. He netted 17 times in 36 appearances for Pompey and will re-join Spurs as a first team player.Defoe left Spurs after he struggled to break into the Tottenham first team- his palf blocked by Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane.
