Despite nerfs to Ice Nova and Archmage's mana scaling (from 19% to 16%), Archmage is still a powerhouse, especially when paired with Vortex of Projection. This skill offers massive freezing, reliable damage, and strong tankiness.

Vortex also benefits from being a lesser-used archetype, now finally shining thanks to meta shifts. There's also Ball Lightning of Orbiting as an Archmage option if you prefer a more passive clear.

3. Explosive Arrow Ballista Elementalist (With Golems Now!)

Playstyle: Ignite + Ballistas + Golem Boosts

Explosive Arrow Ballista has always been strong, but the new Golem support buffs at level 34 make it especially appealing. With a cheap 1c bow, you can blast your way through early bosses-even The Feared is killable with budget gear.

The clear is massive due to ignite proliferation, and it's a very lazy playstyle-drop Ballistas and move. That said, the build can feel squishy due to conditional defenses, which golems might help with but won't solve entirely.

Strengths: Autofire gameplay, cheap, fast mapper

4. Rolling Magma Mines (Explosions Everywhere)

5. Righteous Fire Chieftain (The Cozy Classic)

A community favorite for years, Righteous Fire (RF) Chieftain is reliable, safe, and relaxing. While it doesn't top any damage charts, it has a low APM, smooth campaign progression, and doesn't require complex gear early on.

With Lightning Strike nerfed, Smite has stepped up as one of the strongest melee skills in the current patch. It offers great clear, good damage, and a built-in aura, making it easier to gear early.

However, its double-hit mechanic requires precise positioning-which can be tough against fast or erratic bosses. Most players prefer leveling with a different skill (like Explosive Concoction) and then switching to Smite at level 38 when Multistrike becomes available.

Weaknesses: Clunky targeting vs. fast-moving enemies

7. Poisonous Concoction of Bouncing (Pathfinder Chaos Mastery)

Playstyle: Unarmed poison spam
