25-year-old driver Thomas Trace is currently assisting police with their investigation into a firearm and a quantity of ammunition seized in the Northern Division.

During a Roving Road Block exercise on Monday 7th August between 10 am and 1 pm along the Arima Old Road, officers intercepted a vehicle based on information received. The officers brought the vehicle to a stop and discovered one Beretta Px4 Storm Pistol with seventeen rounds of nine millimeter ammunition.

Thomas was arrested in connection with the find.

Investigations are ongoing.
